“This concert is going to be an incredible celebration of our living-legend Melba Moore with some of the most talented artists of our time. Melba is an incredible inspiration to so many. She has survived divorce, domestic violence and the financial ups and downs of the entertainment industry but she has endured and her music is a testimony for anyone that has ever been challenged to their core that you can overcome and come out on top. I encourage everyone to come on out and wear your dancing shoes because we are going to ROCK the St. George Theatre like never before,” says CANVAS Institute Founder Bobby Digi.
This magical evening features guest performance from Melba’s closest friends including Evelyn Champagne King, Meli’sa Morgan, Jean Carne, Force MDs, Deverne Williams, Koleurz, Vintage Soul Band And a special special tribute to Kashif & Trisco Pearson of the Force MDs. The proceeds from the event will support educational programming for underserved youth in Staten Island, which includes the The 11th Annual Youth Empowerment Summit at Wagner College, Annual Shaolin Chess Tournament, CANVAS Internship and Fellowship Program and our Tompkinsville Park Clean Up Initiative.
