HCR is thankful for your partnership in creating and preserving affordable housing. Your commitment is vital to Governor Hochul’s efforts to make our State more affordable when it comes to housing, childcare, or other expenses. No family should have to choose between paying rent or paying for childcare. That’s why Governor Hochul expanded the childcare tax credit to up to $1,000 per child. Although that expansion went into effect earlier this year, many families may not know about it or may be apprehensive about filing for it – including some tenants in your affordable housing buildings.
