RECECYLE YOUR HOLIDAY TREE WITH NYC PARKS AT THIS YEAR’S 21ST ANNUAL MULCHFEST

 

DATE:                        January 7, 2016 – January 8, 2017

 

TIME:                          10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

 

LOCATION:               MulchFest takes place at 30 chipping sites and 48 drop-off sites in designated parks across all five boroughs. For a complete list of all MulchFest locations please visit nyc.gov/parks and search “MulchFest.”

 

DETAILS:                   For more than 20 years, MulchFest has provided New Yorkers with a fun and environmentally-friendly opportunity to recycle their holiday trees into woodchips that will nourish tree beds and gardens throughout the city. MulchFest is supported this year by Whole Foods.

 

New Yorkers participating in this year’s MulchFest will receive a FREE large and/or kids-sized tote bag.

 

NYC Parks Stewardship teams will also be hosting volunteer tree care and litter pick-up workshops at sites in all five boroughs on Saturday, January 7 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. For more information or to sign up in advance, visit our Stewardship page.
